On January 31st, 2020, Iowa City songwriter Brian Johannesen released his second full-length record entitled “Holster Your Silver”. His Midwestern-Americana style has garnered critical praise in the roots music world. Americana Highways said of the album, “Johannesen shows the ability to make you laugh, dance, and think in the span of just nine songs. In the tradition of other middle American songwriters, he writes earnest songs with a bit of a gritty quality. More than that, he writes songs that make you feel something.” Johannesen will be touring the US in support of the new album in 2020.
