Performers

Summer of the Arts festivals feature a variety of opportunities for musical performers and entertainers. You can see past performers and artists here. Please review the information on each festival below and submit your electronic media kit via the appropriate email.

The planning committees regularly check these emails and will contact you if they are interested in booking or need additional information.

The Friday Night Concert Series, presented by Toyota of Iowa City, books primarily Johnson County, Iowa, bands. Consideration will be given to any bands with ties within Eastern Iowa. This consideration is at the sole discretion of the Friday Night Concert Series booking committee.

The Iowa Arts Festival, presented by Veridian Credit Union, typically features local openers and well-known national or international headliners on the main stage.

Children’s performers from all genres of entertainment are featured on our Family Stage for our Global Village and Children’s Day activities. Strolling performers are sometimes hired.

As one of the nation’s top 10 jazz festivals, the Iowa City Jazz Festival, presented by UICCU, features well-known national and international acts on the main stage. Three side stages feature performers in the following areas: Youth, College and Local.

The Iowa Soul Festival typically features local openers and regional or national headliners on the Main Stage. The focus is bands featuring African or African American performers and includes styles like R&B, Funk, and Soul.
