Joey Schnoebelen Quintet

About:  

The Joey Schnoebelen Quintet is comprised of some of Iowa City’s finest jazz musicians. This group is led by trumpeter Joey Schnoebelen and saxophonist Cole Peterson. These good friends have won prestigious honors and have worked with some of the industry’s best. Some of these honors include: The Disney All-American College Band, The Jazz Aspen Snowmass, and top-ten national semifinalist in Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Jazz Challenge. While at these festivals, Joey and Cole have gotten to work with Gordon Goodwin, John Clayton, Christian McBride, Wayne Bergeron, Benny Green, Russel Malone, and many others. They are joined by Jarrett Purdy on piano, Chris Jensen on drums, and Blake Shaw on bass. These musicians combine forces to deliver music straight to the soul, exploring both contemporary and traditional styles of jazz.
