About:  

The Iowa Women’s Jazz Orchestra Sextet, a subgroup of the Iowa Women’s Jazz Orchestra (est. 2017), is made up of some of the most sought after musicians and educators from right here in the Corridor. Musicians include Jen Tiede – alto saxophone, Lynne Hart – tenor saxophone, Toni LeFebvre – trumpet, Gail Williams – piano, Vivian Shanley – bass, and Farren Johnson – drums. This ensemble performs charts spanning a variety of styles within the jazz idiom, many of which are composed or arranged in-house by Lynne Hart.
