My artwork can be described as gothic folk art with pops of color. I’m stilling exploring my style and medias but really like to use neon colors mixed with dull darker colors.

The art I create is mainly colored pencil. Techniques used are layering pigment, blending, burnishing and sgraffito. My designs are the result of observation of nature- capturing a moment in time.
Detailed pen &ink drawings (3-6 days) on duct paper then mounted on tin or wooden boxes. Then a 5-8 days process of layering transparent oils with brush/rag. I may add shine/gems then I put enamel.
Drawing in pen & ink using the crosshatch and parallel line techniques on 4 ply cotton rag paper.
I draw a cartoon of the customer using markers, then I color the drawing with an airbrush using water based acrylic paints.
My work is a response to spontaneous mark making, the search for and creation of sketched images, enhanced by the addition of collage. The result is funny, unique and sometimes weird characters.
