About:

Although born in Tacoma, Washington, Ahzia Hester would go on to grow up in the state of Iowa. Here, he would discover his interest in illustration, writing and theatre. It was only until his final semester of High School that making music, particularly hip hop music, would catch his attention. A desire to roll out his own music would soon follow. His music would go on to infuse melodic production and clever lyricism to craft his own discography. With a few releases under his belt dating back to 2015, most recently, Zen (2017), & READY.SET.GO. (2018), time will tell what is in store next for the Midwest based artist. His latest endeavor is the 2021 LP Welcome To Nowhere, an offering jammed packed with sharp and honest lyrics painting the shades of life in a flyover state.

About:

Noise maker Ioannis “Ion” Alexakis was born on the island of Crete and raised in Iowa City. A jack of all trades & a master of none, he began learning guitar from a young age that developed into an interest in samplers, synthesis & sound design. A lifelong student of the process, Ioannis began studying the signal flow has allowed him to become a chameleon of the industry. Ioannis’s lyrics focuses in on resilience through the Guthrie lens over a sonic guttural rawness that hones in on the prospect of power we maintain if we stay unified and vigilant through turmoil.

About:

Alyx Rush is a sonic sorcerer who has been busy capturing hearts, minds and imaginations across the Midwest with an alluring R&B/pop sound that beautifully smudges the edges of both genres. Adopted as an infant and raised in rural Iowa, he has never been afraid to be his true authentic self. Casting his spell from under the underground, Rush has risen quickly with head-turning independent releases and captivating live performances at festivals and venues across the region. He is both technically gifted and rawly emotive as a vocalist, swooping through irresistible top lines on wavy production that ranges from winter ballads to summer sways. His sound can soar, swagger and swoon, sometimes all at once. Already recognized as one of the top artists in the area, Rush will push his wave even further this summer with a new EP, ‘After the Last Time’ his second collaboration with artist/producer Jim Swim. There’s no ceiling for this one.
