Buster Moon (Matthew McConaughey) is a koala with a dream: running a grand theater. However, after both falling on hard times-and out of favor with the bank-Buster concocts a last ditch plan to save his theater and make a name for himself. He holds a singing contest with a, seemingly, big cash prize. With various animals with their own dreams coming out to sing, this adventure proves that not everything is what it seems.
