Three Dawgs & a Bone

This is a new band, but it is also a chance for 4 old friends to have a little fun playing more modern music (from off the beaten path) as well some originals. Hopefully you will find our approach to this music to be challenging and fun to listen too as well.

Our repertory consists of music by Ornette Coleman, Thelonious Monk, Steve Lacy, Herbie Nichols, Dave Holland, Duke Ellington, Paul Motion, Steve Swallow, and many others. The musicians in this group have been part of the Iowa City jazz scene for many years now and includes:
