Jackson Churchill currently serves as a Band Director at Valley High School in West Des Moines, Iowa. He is also a Teaching Artist of Jazz Trombone at Drake University. Jackson has been a finalist in numerous competitions facilitated by the International Trombone Association, American Trombone Workshop, and Jazz Trombone Day. His performance credits include the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Christian McBride’s JAS Academy Big Band, and the Broadway tour of “The Wiz.” Jackson completed his master’s degree at the University of North Texas, where he studied with acclaimed artist Nick Finzer and played in the One O’Clock Lab Band.
