I design fabric using hot wax and cool dye. Each garment is done individually. And the wax is removed at the end.
My felted friends are created from wool. Sometimes I use a wire armature so they can take different positions. All designs are my own.
I hand dye clothing and material I sew into aprons, scarves and pillows. Batik is drawing (my original designs) on fabric with melted wax that, when submerged in dye, acts as a resist to the cloth.
I use wool and silk fibers to create an image from nature. The fibers are then felted using wet felting techniques & needle felting.My wool paintings are framed. Purses are knitted before felting.
Hand woven pieces created on looms or through off-loom techniques. Pieces are made from natural materials. Many of the materials may be hand dyed or hand spun.
Recycled fiber. Old corduroy pants used to create handmade paper luminaries, wall pieces and journals with felting and natural finds used
Casual attire and accessories created using traditional shibori techniques; along with wrap, resist, immersion, & direct application methods. The garments & fabrics are from a variety of sources.
I am third generation in the art of making leather. I design my own purses and patterns that I hand cut out of leather. Then I sew the purse together.
