My pieces are inspired by nature and incorporate different combinations of metal wire, wood, stone, and acrylic paintings to create one-of-a-kind wire tree sculptures, wall art, and functional art.
Handcrafted journals/books. Hand sewn using Coptic & long stitches, art board, handmade bindings ,various embellishments & decorative papers. Each is unique-sizes 5×6,4×8,41/2×51/2 with 80lb.or notebook paper.
All originals in contemporary style, acrylic paint, pastes, stones, paper etc. On canvas. Palette knife, brush and tools used to paint. Landscapes and florals are my favorite subjects.
I enjoy combining unique pieces of wood, natural and milled, and pieces of sliced and/or tumble polished stone that have similar colors and textures to bring out the beauty of each in functional art.
I use a craft knife to hand cut various papers, including charcoal drawing paper, art tissue, and recycled maps glazed with acrylics, and collage them on a backing board or wood panel.
Functional art and unique gifts turned from wood, acrylic and solid surface material. Each piece starts as a square piece and is turned and shaped using various gouges then finished to a shine.
I am a comic arts major at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. I graduated from West High School in 2017. My work has been featured in Little Village and The Daily Iowan. I like to capture history, politics and ordinary life in comic form. I have printed my work as cards, postcards, zines, buttons and stickers.
