After assembling soulfully worn found objects, I layer patterns under stained glass. Then I add tiles created from etched tarpaper & acrylic paint. I tie all the elements together with grout & paint.
Exotic selections of granite, marble, quartz and solid surface are hand-carved into functional pieces of art such as hor d’oeuvres platters, lazy susans, cheese slicers and raised pet feeders.
I begin each work with several drawings. Working intuitively I combine acrylic paint, pattern, monoprints & handmade papers. A variety of handmade paper techniques are incorporated.
